World Resource Pack: Fullbright SP
Hello everyone,
I would like to clarify a few questions that have come up recently and also present you with a solution. I've been getting the following question a lot lately: "I downloaded FullBright UB 1.21 to use with Sodium, and I got a warning saying that it might not be compatible."
My answer to this question is: The error message is normal because the "Core Shader" is still available for Vanilla. Since Sodium is not compatible with it, there is the mod "PolyTone" that enables this compatibility. It should then work with PolyTone.
I always thought you could ignore the error message from Sodium. but it's getting on my nerves. So i had to paint something new. and i picked up the Fullbright Optifine again. i haven't done anything with the Fullbright version since 1.19. because PolyTone has the same system with the lightmaps it was an easy thing to Updated the version. i also want to clarify the question:
why do I need the PolyTone mod?
unlike Sodium, the lightmaps system is not included. so you have to add the system and the best way to do that is with PolyTone. This clarifies the question very quickly.
What happens now
I'm going to start this as a test to see how it works. I've been thinking for a long time about whether I should publish a version like this again. because otherwise you lose the overview. i think it's still clear this way. One thing because I would also like to point out that the RP is no longer called "Fullbright Optifine" but has a new name. "Fullbright Sodium with PolyTone" aka: "Fullbright SP".
I actually took the "Fullbright Ubiquitous" aka: "Fullbright UB" as a system that can do everything. That means Vanilla, Optifine and Sodium in one pack, but as is sometimes the case, it turned out that it doesn't work as hoped. There just can't be a system for everything. so now I have to see how I can structure it in the future. i'll do my best.
My final words thank you for listening and I hope this has provided some clarification.
