Hello Community,
The year 2024 has been both exciting and extremely successful for World Resource Pack. In the spring of 2024, we completely redesigned our website and built a new structure. This includes, among other things, a dedicated API with CDN and a ticket system. Soon, our new blog system will also go live.
Now, let’s take a look at the upcoming year, 2025. The new year will bring continued progress—not with major changes, but with many small and useful improvements. One key project planned for winter or early 2025 is the migration of our server from IONOS to Netcup. We hope this change will lead to a much more stable system because the current situation, as you can see in the screenshot, isn’t looking great:

Of course, the server migration will mean extra work, but we’re hopeful it will significantly improve performance.
That’s all from me for now—a brief outlook on the year ahead.
Fullbright in 2025
The year 2024 was a milestone for Fullbright, reaching over 2 million downloads! But 2025 will bring its own set of important developments. It will be an exciting yet challenging year for Fullbright, as some fundamental changes are on the horizon.
From now on, development will focus exclusively on Fullbright SP. But why only Fullbright SP and no longer Fullbright UB or Fullbright Vanilla? The main reason lies in the so-called Core Shaders, which Mojang has made increasingly difficult to use in the latest versions. Continuing to develop resource packs that rely on these shaders demands more and more time and effort—effort that is, unfortunately, no longer sustainable. This challenge led to the first decline in Fullbright’s download numbers in 2024.
As a result, the decision was made to discontinue the development of Fullbright UB and Fullbright Vanilla. However, Fullbright SP will remain and will continue to be developed. In fact, Fullbright SP gained significant popularity over the past year, overtaking the other versions. What began with Fullbright UB is now being carried forward by Fullbright SP, which leads the way.
Special thanks go to MehVahdJukaar, the developer of PolyTone. The “P” in Fullbright SP is a nod to PolyTone, which played a crucial role in making the resource pack work seamlessly with Sodium. Without PolyTone, this would have been a major challenge.
That was a brief look back at 2024 and an outlook for 2025. We hope Fullbright will continue to “bring light to the darkness.” Thank you for taking the time to read this report, and we wish you a successful and wonderful new year!
Best regards,
World Resource Pack Team
